Interesting Facts about Alligators
- American Alligators are native to South Carolina for millions of years.
- Gators live in lagoons and ponds all around the island.
- The average female is about 8 feet long, the average male is about 11 feet long.
- Their front feet have 5 toes and the back feet have only 4 toes.
- The alligator’s nostrils are placed upwards at the end of their snout, so that they can submerge their entire body, but still breathe.
- Beware though because feeding them is against the law in South Carolina. It’s also not safe for the Alligators or the people who enjoy spotting them.

Reservations made inside 24 hours of the reservation time will be considered “locked” or confirmed at the time of the reservation.
Weather is the only exception to the cancellation policy. However, please understand that we are on an Island, and we do not always have too much of an advanced warning for pop up storms. They are common in the summer and will often pass through quickly allowing activities to resume. Also, the weather on one end of the Island may not reflect the weather at our location. If we need to cancel activities due to whether we will contact you at our earliest convenience.
What if we don’t show up for the tour?
No show, no refund. We have limited seats and if you decide not to go it is not fair to us to have to refund your money.
